The Pocket Mayors is currently seeking representation and distribution. Not least of the benefits of an egalitarian travel show is that it has an egalitarian production budget. Advances in camcorder technology and support, especially the advent of miniature camera stabilizers and portable solid-state video and sound recorders, keep equipment costs low without compromising picture or sound quality. The use of a single camera on Steadicam lends the show an aesthetic unique to nonfiction television.

The Pocket Mayors will be finished in high definition. The show would work best in a half-hour format, but it could also serve very well in a fifteen-minute slot, more of which are appearing on cable all the time.
